My son and I took a photo-hike the other day through Brandywine Creek State Park; I took one camera with me, he took the other. I had originally suggested that we take a photo-walk through the city on the grounds that I much prefer architecture. He declined and had us walk through the state park on the grounds that he prefers nature.
A lesson to me: there are pictures to be had everywhere. The park wasn’t my first choice, and even in a dry, cold winter with a severe lack of foliage there were still opportunities for interesting photographs; in particular I enjoyed the strong shadows that were available to us that day. These are my photos. My son has yet to organise his.
